They are same shape as this one but with bulbs other than flames. They are bright, neat, and long lasting. So I saw this flickering flame lanterns and wanted to give them a try. Just as I was expecting, they never make you disappointing! The flame lanterns are so bright and beautiful, definitely add a ambience to my yard! Made of metal, came with a metal clip so I can hang them on the tree. Can’t believe 20 bucks can get such high end and pretty lanterns. Highly recommended!

They turn on, they glow, they create the perfect cozy ambiance for an evening outside. In dim lighting, they become a whole mood. The flickering flame effect gives just enough movement to make them feel warm and inviting, without looking cheap or gimmicky. They do what they’re supposed to, no complaints there.
But let’s talk quirks. First, the brightness is uneven. One side of each lantern seems to shine a little stronger than the other. Maybe it’s the placement of the bulb inside, maybe it’s a design choice, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Closeup you can tell more, but slightly from a distance, but I think it may be more of a “knowing it’s there” kind of thing rather than a dealbreaker. (In the video, I made both lamps evenly bright)
Then there’s the crooked white center base situation…. one of mine isn’t sitting perfectly straight. Does this affect how it works? No. Does it poke at my perfectionist tendencies every time I glance at it? Absolutely.
The switch placement under the solar panel is straightforward, but the labeling? Mildly confusing. Solid “on” mode means a steady light, while the flickering flame is actually positioned where you’d expect “off” to be. Not a huge issue, but definitely a double-take moment when setting them up.
They are lightweight thin metal. Not flimsy, but not quite delicate. That said, the handle clips are a nice touch for hanging, and once in place, they hold up fine.
And daytime? They just exist. Not ugly, not striking, just lantern-shaped objects waiting for sunset to do their thing. Their nighttime presence makes up for their daytime mediocrity, but don’t expect them to enhance your outdoor space when the sun’s out.
Final verdict? Solid purchase for nighttime ambiance if you don’t mind a couple of imperfections. Looks great at night, not much to look at during the day, but does exactly what it promises.

I love the way how they work at night, and they don’t look cheap during the day as they are made of metal. The flicker flame definitely add a great ambiance to my yard.
Unlike other solar charging lights I’ve had, these are super easy to charge up and just being placed anywhere outside they will charge fully, and once they are charged they last the whole evening.
Their size is perfect, small and simple, since the focus is on the lighting and you don’t need to see much of the lantern itself. I do appreciate the lanterns came with clips so they allow the solar lights to hang evenly if you want to hang those solar lanterns on a tree.
They are awesome even on rainy or cloudy days. To give an idea of how realistic these flames look, when I had them on inside my living room charging with the drapes slightly closed I received 5 different calls from neighbors who asking about a possible house fire inside with two having nearly called the fire department~ Very realistic, bright, and pretty!
