My wife really loves the dehydrated oranges; she feels the flavor is more intense when they are dehydrated. I just recently dried out some hot peppers and it took about 8 hours, but they kept their red color and dried out nicely. I will turn them into powder soon. It is also fairly quiet – I read some reviews of other dehydrators that were reported to be pretty noisy. This is a great little appliance!

I mainly use it to make dog treats. Chicken and beef jerky, chicken hearts, beef liver, green mussels, sardines, and veggies. It’s much faster and cooks more evenly without rotating trays than my previous dehydrator. Functions are so easy even a tech moron like me can use it without fail. The size is perfect for my use. It’s smaller than a mini oven. It’s quiet, cleans up easily and powerful. I haven’t been this satisfied with a purchase in a while. I also bought it during prime day sale so the price during the sale fit my budget. Win, win, win!

I have had several of the stacked plastic units and they just are not as good. This unit hold temperature very well and keeps it even through all the racks. No need to move the racks around during drying to keep the drying even. All the trays are metal. They won’t heat crack or brake, and they are dishwasher safe. The unit does need about 20 inches of counter space font to back to work properly. The fan draws air from the back of the unit, which needs about 2 inches of space from a wall or other objects. Warm air is exhausted from the sides near the front of the unit. It is not rated for outdoor use and must be used inside. The digital temp control and timer work great.

Amazing improvement. Fits nicely on my counter and looks great. It is quiet enough that I do not notice it running when I am seated only 8 feet away. The racks are very good quality, and easy to clean in the dishwasher. I have used it to create crackers, cookies, dog treats and especially sweet potato treats for my dog. The dog treats are faster than my old oven and consistent dryness, no more shuffling trays around and moving items from tray to tray. I am using silicone sheets and trays an many things but directly on the rack for jerky for me and the dog. In the dishwasher go the racks, no more wars cleaning plastic trays. Incredibly happy with the quality and some nice items in the cook book. Plus many ideas from their membership recipes. Easy to clean the stainless steel cabinet.
