This is the best kids tablet on the market. My granddaughter who is six has had this tablet now for eight months we have not had any problems with memory storage or anything like that. This tablet also comes with a program that links to the parents phone so you can see how much time they’ve spent on the tablet. You can also see the things that they are watching and the things that they are doing You can set it up so that it’ll alert you when they are watching or trying to watch or buy things that you don’t approve of I have had a lot of tablets for my grandchild and none of them have been as great quality is this one has it? It’s very easy to download different games in all kinds of different apps on here like Netflix prime Disney it’s very easy for the kids to know how to use it and for me my favorite feature of all is the fact that I get all the alerts on everything that she does on the tablet. It is also very durable. She drops it often and I have not had any problems with it cracking or anything like that it’s in the original case that it came in.

While the fire OS is a good operating system, it comes with some drawbacks, mostly the lack of solid options as far as specific apps go. As I do most of my Amazon tablets, I added the google play store. It would be great if Amazon would add this as an option without having to spend too much time adding the different apk files and going through additional set up.
The biggest frustration with a youngster having one of these tablets is that there are FAR too many ways for them to add games that are suspect and end up with so much bloatware and invasive privacy apps that the tablet becomes totally non-functioning, and I have to go in and reset to factory settings and start all over again. I have purchased games for him and with the fire OS, I either have to allow access to the app store because in disabling that access removes all the purchased apps. I added the play store and added an app locker to keep the Amazon apps active, but require my app locker password to open them. Very handy in my situation. I also added VLC to play videos that I have added to his SD card, which is not available with the FireOS.
Overall, this is a quality product, that I would recommend as long as you understand its limitations and workarounds. The fact that it is guaranteed with a free replacement should an accident occur is a great selling point.
