Setting it up was pretty straightforward once I found a good spot for the base. It mapped out the whole downstairs in about five minutes and let me tweak the map in the app. Watching it navigate around chair legs and under the couch without getting stuck is almost entertaining.
The suction is powerful enough that I don’t feel like I have to go over anything afterward. I have two cats and their fur shows up everywhere. This DEEBOT actually picks it up off both the hardwood and the area rugs without leaving bits behind. The mopping feature is better than I expected. It doesn’t just wet the floor a little but seems to really scrub away dried spots around the dining table.
One thing that really surprised me was how well it works in complete darkness. The little LED headlights kick on when the lights are off so it can still see where it’s going. I set it to clean overnight a few times and came down in the morning to spotless floors with no random scuff marks on the furniture. This is easily the most advanced robot vacuum I’ve ever owned and it feels like a big leap forward compared to my older models.
I like that it empties itself into the station so I don’t have to dump the bin every time. The dust bag in the station holds a surprising amount. I’ve only needed to change it once in a month. The app makes it simple to schedule cleanings or send it to do a quick spot clean if there is a mess. It also gives little updates if something needs attention, which is helpful.
One small thing is the base station is quite large. I had to move a side table to make enough room for it. Not a huge problem but worth knowing before you unbox everything. Once it was in place, it’s been easy to maintain and doesn’t feel like extra work.
If you’re tired of dragging out a big vacuum every other day, this little robot takes over most of the job without needing you to babysit it. It feels like a big step up from the older models I tried years back.

You’ll notice right away how much power that 16,600Pa BLAST suction brings, you can practically see it yanking crumbs from the grout. And because it’s self cleaning the dirty tank onboard never turns into that funky swamp you dread emptying. Just dock at the Omni station and you’re hands free until you remember to dump out the bin, which, by the way, could be a little bigger, mine fills up faster than I’d like on big cleaning days.
Beyond that the AI Smart Navigation maps my place in a snap and automatically steers clear of kids’ toys like Lego pieces and other obstacles without needing to redraw virtual walls five times. It’s weird how something so technical still feels effortless, you just open the app, tap what room you’re worried about, and let it handle the rest. The roller mop makes the floor feel smoother than after my old spin pads and I’ve found myself wandering into the kitchen just to marvel at how shiny things look.
That said the unit does hum a bit louder when it cranks up suction though I’ve gotten used to that drone by the second run. A couple times the app took a beat to connect but once it’s online you can schedule cleanings, check the tank level, or even watch live footage if you link a camera. Beyond the basics I’ve grown fond of the tidy status alerts and the way it tracks multiple cleaning routines, you’re never left wondering if last night’s mop session actually happened.
All told this upgrade doesn’t just clean better, it almost feels like having a mini cleaning crew at your beck and call, minus the awkward small talk.

Buyer beware, because the biggest disappointment is that it did not come with any cleaning solution, not even a sample pack! Nowhere in the product description does it state that you will need to have order cleaning solution (which is sold separately) in order to use the mopping function. Needless to say, mopping was the part I was most excited about.
I did check on Amazon and while they do have the solution and a separate accessory kit, it would not arrive until mid-July. I don’t wanna have to wait that long, so I spoke to Deebot support. I ended up ordering accessories and cleaning solution through them, however it is fairly expensive and unfortunately, it is shipped through Canada Post. With all the turmoil going on with them, who knows when I will actually get it. I might’ve been better off to order it off of Amazon. Meanwhile, I have it all set up, have my house mapped out and was able to vacuum. We have all hardwood floors, so the part I was looking forward to the most was being able to mop and vacuum at the same time. Since I can’t do that yet, I’m not able to report on how well that feature works.
