The sound of the keyboard is incredible, with the notable exception of the spacebar. The spacebar sounds much more hollow than any other key, but it can be mostly resolved by sticking some tape in the underside of the key. That being said, the first thing I noticed was the phenomenal typing experience on this keyboard. I often find myself looking for excuses to need to type out long passages just to prolong the typing experience (like this review). I didn’t think I’d notice the difference with the doubleshot PBT keycaps, but they definitely add a premium feel and texture to the keys that I appreciate. Another premium feel addition is the metal top plate, which is cool to the touch and makes it feel very sturdy.
The brightness of the LEDs is more than sufficient, especially if you use it in a darker space like I do. The OLED screen is neat, and definitely can be bright enough, but I use it less than I thought I would.
The wireless connectivity is seamless. I’ve never noticed any latency when using the wireless dongle, which I have plugged into my gaming PC. When I need to swap to my WFH setup, I switch to the Bluetooth mode and connect to my work laptop. I don’t even need my USB hub for the dual functionality.
Because of the included battery, the keyboard is pretty hefty, which adds to the premium feel. It’s still light and portable enough that I can toss it in my laptop bag and bring it with me to the office to use with my work laptop. I will warn you that it’s not what I would consider a quiet keyboard (with the brown tactile switches at least), so there is a good chance you might annoy your work neighbors.
All in all, I give it a 9.8/10. My only complaints are the odd spacebar sound, and the slight wobble you can feel in the keys when holding them down (with the brown NX switches). I would imagine that this isn’t a problem with the walled stem switches, but those weren’t in stock when I ordered.
I am tempted to remove a star due to the horrendous ROG software that you have to use if you want to configure this keyboard, but given that you don’t really ever *need* to use it, it’s tolerable.

Has a good thock to it and I had no stabilizer rattle on any of them. Their factory lubing was good, I ended up lubing everything all up myself just to be sure and I found no difference in the sound and feel. It has a good heft to it and I like how the top layer of the board is metal. It’s understandable the bottom layer is plastic because if it was all metal, there would be issues with the wireless capabilities. From what I’ve been reading, the 2.4ghz speednova wireless dongle has practically the same latency as if you were wired, it’s really impressive and the small difference is impossible to notice.
The screen is a nice little touch. Unfortunately it’s only black and white and I heard some people having burn-in issues when its set to hardware info so I would avoid that. I’ll personally just set it to some custom animation and use the knob on the side for volume and mute control. The RGB effects are nice and bright, good customizability with it. All in all, they did a good job with it and would recommend it.
Here are my issues with it. It’s expensive compared to what you could get from competitors. You have the “gamer” aesthetic with the font on the keycaps. No option for hall-effect switches. If you don’t care about wireless, you could get a board with a full metal build at this price point. I think that’s mainly my issue with it as I’m happy with everything else with it. Hall-effect switches has a bunch of customizability to it and a lot of companies are coming out with their own keyboards with it after Wooting came out with theirs. Things like Dynamic Keystroke and Mod Tap are very convenient to have on more compact boards as function layer modifiers, convenient when gaming as well with Rapid Trigger. If you don’t care about those things then these nx snow linear switches feel really good to type on.

The speednova wireless works a wonder but also a pity that it does not pair with the harpe ace’s dongle to have a single dongle to connect both devices.
Typing sound is pleasant to my previous keyboard (ducky one 2 sf), even for a semi-enthusiast like me. However, I must say i did not expect the actuation to be so sensitive. It can sometimes hinder my gameplay, especially when i rest my fingers on the keyboard. If I could choose again, i would definitely go for the either the brown or the blue switch.
