I used to get botox on my forehead — 11’s and static horizontal lines — but I stopped in 2021. My smile lines are uneven, since I’m a side sleeper. The left is deeper than the right, but both are visible.
After cleansing my face at night, I only applied eye cream, the Vita A Retinal Shot, and moisturizer. I wanted to see the results without the interference of any other anti-aging product. I can definitely say it works, better than any other retinoid I’ve used, but let’s break it down.
For those who are shocked by the yellow tint: please, do your research. Retinol and retinal are different stages of retinoids, and retinal HAS a yellow or orange tint to it, whether we like it or not. I know that some retinol products are not colored, but true retinals are. If you ever buy a retinal serum that is not yellow or orange, you’re not getting what you paid for.
Having said that, the tingly sensation we get when applying the product. Those are spicules, and they work like natural “needles”. They will help the active ingredients penetrate our pores much better than spicule-less serums. It’s not a reaction; it’s what’s supposed to do. If you have sensitive skin, just don’t go crazy and overmassage the serum into your skin.
After a month, my right smile line is barely visible, and the left one is much less than it was before. My 11’s are also barely visible, and the static horizontal lines are slowly getting better. It’s always good to remember that it takes 2 to 3 months to see the full results of retinoids, so patience is the key here. The product is so good that I’ve already got a second and the Celimax Vita A Retinol Shot Tightening Serum to pair with it.
