I had been using a fan-based resistance trainer from a well known bike trainer manufacturer. While it worked well, it was noisy. I took a chance on this Sportneer magnetic trainer based on the good reviews on Amazon. It has exceeded my expectations. It works smoothly and it is super quiet. With my old trainer I had to wear over-the-ear headphones to drown out the noise when I listened to music. With the Sportneer I can use my AirPods and I can barely hear the noise from the trainer.
I gave it four stars for Sturdiness. Compared to the big-name brand it replaces, it does seem a little more lightly built, but I’m not using this to train for 100 mile bike rides. I typically hop on to get my 30-40 minutes of exercise during the winter months, and I think it’s going to hold up just fine for that.
If your needs aren’t that of a pro or long distance cyclist, I can highly recommend this trainer.

Not sure if I would be happy with this if I were trying to seriously train for a race but rest assured! I will never train for a race. This is exactly what I needed.

It took me a few minutes to realize it did need to be pointed the other way and I had to apply some pressure (assuming just because it was all new and a bit stiff). After I sorted that it was super easy! I took a chance with the less expensive trainer; others are 3 times as much; and I’m super happy with it.

I also ordered a spoke wrench to correct (true) the bike wheel which was a little uneven and was causing uneven friction around the tire and some jerky traction. I am giving it 5 stars once I was contacted by the seller asking me to reasses their product and by educating myself on how to fix the problems. Thanks
