We have a 10’x40′ covered breezeway that separates our home from the garage. Through the years, I couldn’t stand the idea that every vehicle and person passing by the front of our home was able see right into our breezeway, leaving us with zero privacy. Plus, the Santa Anna Southern California winds can be fierce, which prevents me from enjoying being outdoors. Thought I’d give this a try for the front portion of our breezeway and OMG, I am beyond ecstatic! These curtains look classy and elegant, without hurting the bank account.
Each panel is heavy, the material is thick (great protection from wind or rain), gives complete privacy (no sheerness at all and unable to see in or out) and reminds me of black out curtains (daylight does not shine through). To get the wrinkles out, I put them in the dryer for 10 minutes and all the wrinkles and creases disappears.
A regular curtain rod did not feel secure enough to hold up the curtains without the rod eventually coming apart. My brilliant Husband went to The Home Depot and bought two 3/4 inch EMT-Electical Metallic Tubing (also known as Steel Conduit/Pipes) for $12 each, along with rod holders to hold the pipes above and below. I can attest that it is extremely sturdy and will hold against a very windy day.
I love this product so much, that I ordered another set for the center of our breezeway. My Husband loves these curtains, because he can see the outdoor TV much clearer without the glare from the sun. It’s a WIN-WIN for my Hubby & I.

Fabric is very nice, thick and very soft.
Heavy enough to block out the hot sun.
I got the curtain with top and bottom grommet
I used 1 rod on top and 1 on bottom to keep it in place
And it turns out great and no flapping in the wind and still allow the curtain to be move from side to side.
I bought the Biscotti Beige colors and hope it doesn’t fade too much like other color.
The title say WATERPROOF but it is water RESISTANCE.
I mist the cirtains with a garden hose and the water seem to be soaking thru the fabric,
Still it a great Curtain for the price block out the HOT sun. That’s the main reason why we all buy it.
If you really want to waterproof the curtain then you can use Grangers Wash + Repel Clothing 2 in 1.

At first they looked great. Ordered them in grey. In the first year they faded to a pinkish colour. I didn’t care, they have completely torn now and are garbage.
I don’t recommend these if you’re looking for something long term.
I have a pergola around my hot tub. 3 walls wrap around and I wanted to use the curtains to block out a bit of weather on the 4th side especially in the winter. Just to help hold the heat in around the hot tub when it gets cold.
As I mentioned. It looks great at first, however not good for long term.
