I picked up this item after watching a video on this product that originated from TT. I am a huge believer in Korean skincare, so I purchased this item and started slowly. Now even though this is good for sensitive skin, I do get a small occasional whitehead if I attempt to use this every night. So I scaled back and use 2-3 days per week. I use this product with Tranexamic Acid, a Peptide skin booster, snail mucin, etc.. after my red light therapy. This product had a gel like consistency, has minimal to no smell, is lightweight and not greasy feeling. And my skin feels smooth and hydrated. Overall, skincare consumes me and sometimes it’s a lot to juggle. I have seen a subtle change in my skin, but I am doing multiple things at once (GuaSha, Red & Blue Light therapy, etc) and because I see a positive impact i will continue and finish off this large product before deciding to repurchase this product or purchase a retinal with alil more punch such as The Ordinary’s Retinal 0.2% Emulsion. My goal isn’t to try to look like I did when I was 30, but rather to have a clear glowing refined complexion & skin texture. So far, I am not disappointed, just alil moody because I tend to do too much but that’s my personality!

While retinol/ retinal delivers promising results, it depends on your skin’s nature & sensitivity too.
I’ve tried using low dose Retinol serums from good brands. I have extremely dry & sensitive skin, so I always had rashes & breakouts, despite using it as instructed & using proper sunscreen.
That’s when I read about Retinal & how it is less potent & more suited than traditional Retinol.
This brand Medi therapy retinal serum absolutely does the trick. But the one thing you need to be very careful is about how you introduce it to your skin.
Just like regular retinol, please start using this serum also once every 3 days, that too at night. Use a pea-sized amount & gently massage into freshly cleaned & dried face. Avoid tender areas like the skin under your eyes & eyelids.
Top it with hyaluronic acid induced moisturizer. In the morning/ whenever you go outdoors, religiously use at least SPF 40+ sunscreen.
After 2 weeks of using this retinal serum for once every 3 days, increase the dosage to once every alternate day, preferably at night. After another 2 weeks, you can apply every night.
But please make sure you use a good moisturizer & sunscreen everyday.
I would definitely recommend this retinal serum especially for those with sensitive dry skin.
I’ve been using it for 4 weeks now and I can definitely see my face slowly gaining even texture. This retinal serum’s quantity is also plenty, it’s gonna last for months because you only need a pea-sized amount to use.
Also, please make sure you store it in a cool place. If you can refrigerate it, even better.
All in all, a very good product.. a must try!
