These complaints aren’t specific to these rechargeable headlamps, however, as I have yet to find any without these issues.

The rechargeable stuff is getting better and better. Not too much of a fan of the motion feature of these but if you use that part, know that even a reflective surface can shut the light off with your movement. A bit annoying. Really like that lights are finally getting away from the bright strobe feature and at least it’s the less annoying red strobe now. Hahaha
I have bought many sets of these and I keep giving them to friends in a bind who don’t have a head lamp when they really could use one.
Light weight. Decently bright and a tight beam. A must have for camping. I try to have 3 ready to go so I dont have to worry about charging while I’m out there. So this 4 pack is really great to have. And I can still sacrifice 1 to someone who is less prepared.

I compared it with another brand (Lepro) and the other one was the clear winner on every count.
The brightness is supposedly 1200 lumens, but the illumination is nowhere near what you get from a 1200 lumen bulb, or even 450 (40W incandescent). I understand that light distribution for a headlamp is different from a light bulb, and this light is certainly very bright if you look at it directly, but the illumination of the area in front of you is pretty dim, and the distance isn’t that great either.
There are two buttons, one for on/off and cycling through modes, and the other for the motion sensor. It has 6 modes on one button, so you have to do a lot of repeat clicking for some modes, and if you overshoot the one you want, it’s frustrating to have to go through the entire cycle again, as opposed to the Lepro which also has two buttons but splits the white and color modes between the two buttons with each doubling as an on/off button (because it doesn’t have a motion sensor, but if you think that’s an advantage for this one, read on…)
The motion sensor feature is mainly a gimmick. It could be useful in situations where your hands are dirty (otherwise waving your hand isn’t significantly easier than pressing the button) IF it were designed to be highly specific to waving your hand right in front of it while ignoring anything else, but it’s way too sensitive and keeps getting triggered if you’re moving around or working with your hands in front of it, so it keeps turning on and off at unwanted times. This happens so easily that it makes the feature practically useless except maybe for some very limited applications, where your hands are covered in grease, and you’re staying in one place and there isn’t much motion in front of you.
I didn’t keep it long enough to test the battery life, but based on reviews the battery life isn’t as good as the Lepro either. And no, in case you’re wondering, I am NOT associated with that company or seller in any way, I just compared the two that looked best based on reviews and descriptions and liked the other one much better.
